Learn from Napoleon: If You Want It Done Right You Don’t Have To Do It Yourself!
A simple letter, written by the great military leader Napoleon Bonaparte, was sold at auction for a whopping $405,000 – an insane amount for what appears to be just a one-page letter! (I’m jealous!)
Source adds: “[the letter] offers a window into the mind of the French emperor, struggling with syntax of the language of enemy Britain.”
So, it wasn’t just a short letter – it was a short letter full of typos!
Of course, the letter has great historical value, it’s one of three such English-language letters by Napoleon in the world, and it was sealed with the imperial eagle wax stamp. But, that’s beyond the point of this post…
Anyone who has studied history knows that Napoleon was a military and political leader. According to Wikipedia: “[Napoleon] is generally regarded as one of the greatest military commanders of all time and his campaigns are studied at military academies throughout much of the world.”
He was a conqueror…
A military genius…
The Emperor of the French.
‘Writing’ was not ‘the highest and best’ use of his time!
Somehow he lost his focus and soon wanted to become a Shakespeare.
The letter begins: “It’s two o’clock after midnight, I have enow sleep, I go then finish the night with you.”
At the end he’s written: “Four o’clock in the morning…’
Putting the typos aside … he toiled over the 13-line sheet for two hours!
Now, that’s INSANE!
The question is: what’s keeping you up late at night? I really hope it’s not trying to ‘copywrite’ your own ads, web copy and sales letters.
If copywriting is not ‘the highest and best’ use of your time then STOP wasting your time trying to be a copywriter!
“Hire Fast Profits to unshackle you from the burden of copywriting, so you can stay focused on your business – rather than distracted and frustrated with time-consuming copywriting.”
If Napoleon was still alive, that USP would go something like this:
Recruit Fast Profits to set you free from the pain and misery of writing, so you can keep conquering and fighting new battles – stop wasting the midnight oil, you’re the Emperor of the French, for goodness’ sake!
Remember, if you want it done right you don’t have to do it yourself.
